I worked closely with Chris Heard of Auckland furniture retailer Bauhaus to redesign his website in order to align the Bauhaus brand with other big players in the market and answer customer questions. After a branding exercise, I presented Chris with a few summary statements, which he now uses as a brand mantra to relay to his staff.
That statement was:
Bauhaus is: Customer-centric, a little Scandanavian-functional, clean, approachable, friendly, luxurious (for lack of a better word), reasonably priced.
Bauhaus isn’t: Busy, fussy, snobby, unaffordable, tired.
Chris absolutely loved the redesign process and was thrilled with the results. The site is currently in development, but here are the designs.
